Partner Program Terms

Everything, stated plainly

Effective August 2026

These are the terms of the Contentio Partner Program, written to be read rather than skipped. No asterisks, no clause that only makes sense once it costs you something.

Section 1

The relationship

You promote Contentio as an independent partner. You are not an employee, a contractor, an agency, or a legal representative of Contentio, and nothing here creates a partnership in the legal sense, a joint venture, or an exclusive arrangement. You decide what you post, when you post it, and to whom.

You accept these terms when you apply to the program, and they take effect between us when we approve your application. If we do not approve you, nothing here binds either of us.

Section 2

Commission

You earn 25% of the net revenue Contentio receives on every payment made by a customer you referred, for that customer's first 12 months. Renewals inside that window count exactly like the first payment.

Net revenue means what actually lands with us: the amount after any discount the customer used and before tax. Taxes, payment processor fees, and refunded amounts are not commissionable.

The 12-month clock starts on the customer's first paid order, not on the day they signed up. Someone who uses Contentio free for months and then upgrades still gives you a full 12 months of commission from that first payment onward.

Section 3

Attribution

Attribution is first touch. When someone opens your referral link we set a first-party cookie that lasts 30 days. If they create a Contentio account inside that window, the referral is bound to you server-side at signup and stays bound from then on.

A customer belongs to whichever partner referred them first. If two partners reach the same person, the earlier referral wins, and a later click does not overwrite it. If the customer already had a Contentio account before your link, no commission attaches to them.

Using your personal discount code at checkout attributes the customer to you in the same way, even when the cookie is missing, for example when someone clears cookies or buys on a different device.

Section 4

Hold period and clawbacks

Every commission is held for 30 days before it becomes payable. That matches our refund window, so a commission clears only once the payment behind it is settled for good.

If a payment is refunded or charged back, the matching commission is reversed, whether or not it has already cleared. A reversal on an already-paid commission can put your balance below zero, and a negative balance nets against future earnings rather than being invoiced back to you.

Section 5

Payouts

Payouts run monthly, on the 1st, covering everything that has cleared its 30-day hold. The minimum payout is $50. A balance under the minimum simply rolls forward to the next run, and nothing is ever lost or expired.

You choose Wise or PayPal, and Contentio absorbs the transfer fees, so the amount you see in your hub is the amount that reaches you. Payouts are made in US dollars, and any currency conversion on your side is outside our control.

You are responsible for your own taxes, filings, and any local registration your earnings require. If tax rules ever require us to collect a form from you, we will ask before it affects a payout.

Section 6

What partners receive

While your partnership is active you get a comped Creator plan for 12 months, our highest tier, at no cost. You should be using the product you recommend, and you should not have to pay to do it.

You also get a personal discount code that gives your audience 20% off their first 3 months. Purchases made with your code are commissionable to you on the discounted amount, exactly as section 2 describes.

Section 7

Promotion rules

Every promotional post must carry a clear disclosure that you are a Contentio partner and may earn a commission. This is required by the FTC in the United States and by equivalent rules elsewhere, and it is also just honest. Contentio puts the disclosure line at the top of every draft it writes for you, so it costs you no effort.

The following are not allowed, and doing any of them can end your partnership under section 8:

  • Bidding on "Contentio" or close variants in paid search, or using our brand terms in ad copy or display URLs.
  • Posting your code or link to coupon sites, deal aggregators, or cashback and extension networks.
  • Self-referral: buying through your own link or code, or arranging for someone to buy on your behalf.
  • Spam, unsolicited direct messages, bulk email, or automated posting.
  • Misleading claims about what Contentio does, what it costs, or results it can produce.
  • Sharing your code or link for use outside your own audience, including reselling or syndicating it.
Section 8

Termination

Either side may end the partnership at any time, for any reason, with no notice period required. Just tell us, or we will tell you.

When the partnership ends, any earned commission that has cleared its hold and sits above the $50 minimum is paid in the next monthly run. Commission stops accruing on new payments from that date, and the comped Creator plan ends, though your account and everything in it stays yours.

Fraud, or a material breach of the promotion rules in section 7, forfeits unpaid commissions. We may pause a partnership and hold a balance while we investigate, and we will tell you what we are looking at and what we found.

Section 9

Changes

We may update these terms. Active partners get an email notice when we do, and the effective date at the top of this page changes with it. Continuing to promote Contentio after that notice means you accept the updated terms.

Changes are never retroactive: commissions already earned are settled under the terms that were in force when they were earned.

Section 10

Contact

Questions about any of this go to support@contentio.io, and a person answers them. If something here reads as unclear or unfair, tell us. We would rather fix the wording than argue about it later.

That is the whole agreement. If it reads fair to you, the next step is a short application.
